Member Profile

Bryan Clements, Senior Vice President and Chief Credit Officer at Bank of Hazlehurst and member of the GBA Agriculture Committee, was drawn to a career in banking by his interest in finance and desire to connect with and help people. From managing a substantial construction portfolio on the South Georgia Coast to specializing in commercial and agricultural lending, Bryan has built a reputation for his ability to bridge diverse communities and industries. A memorable piece of advice from his mentor, Gene Haskins, has guided Bryan throughout his career: “Set your expectations up front. Then you can inspect what you expect.” One of Bryan’s most gripping experiences as a banker involves not one but two bank robberies, highlighting the unexpected and challenging aspects of the profession. However, he says his career is defined by countless stories of helping businesses thrive, supporting farming operations, and making dreams come true for families. Beyond his professional life, Bryan is an avid Georgia fan, enjoys true crime podcasts like Dateline, and is inspired by the book "Moneyball" for its innovative approach to problem-solving. Learn more about his career journey in his full GBA Member Profile.
