Registration Information

Who Should Attend: All GBA members, Associate Members and Bank Counsel Section members are invited to attend the Annual Convention. The registration fee includes all convention programs and events, scheduled meals, educational sessions, the Spouse/Guest Program, and the Sunday and Tuesday evening events.

Convention registration forms should be submitted no later than Friday, May 28, 2010 or click here to register online. Due to guarantees and other commitments, convention registration refunds cannot be given after June 3, 2010; however, substitutions are always welcome. Should you need to cancel, please notify Susie McGehee in writing, by fax at 404.522.9848 or email.

Confirmation: All registrants will receive a confirmation packet four weeks before the convention. The packet will include registration confirmation, general convention information and spouse/guest program information.

Hotel Accommodations: GBA has negotiated a discounted group rate on rooms at Charleston Place. Rooms are available for $299 per night single/double, plus applicable taxes and service charges. The discounted group rate will be in effect for run-of house rooms from Friday, June 11, through Friday, June 18, based on availability. Guest room amenities include telephone with voice messaging, hair dryer, bathrobes, TV/VCR/DVD and complimentary high speed Internet access.

Hotel Cut-Off Date: All reservations must be received by the hotel no later than Friday, May 21. After this date, reservations will be accepted on a space- and rate-availability basis. Rooms may sell out before the cut-off date. All reservations must be guaranteed with a one-night room and tax deposit. Cancellations received seven (7) or fewer days before arrival will result in forfeiture of this deposit.

To Reserve Accommodations: Guests should call the hotel directly at 800.831.3490 and ask for Reservations. Remember to reference the “Georgia Bankers Association Annual Convention” to receive the discounted rate.

Air Travel Reservations: If you’d like assistance in booking airfare for Charleston, contact Ed Haskins in the Group Air Department of Monumental Meetings/Age of Travel at 800.578.7620 or 404.591.7080.

Car Rental/Ground Transportation: If you’d like assistance in reserving a rental car, contact Ed Haskins in the Group Air Department of Monumental Meetings/Age of Travel at 800.578.7620 or 404.591.7080. Or reservations may be made for Budget or Enterprise through Charleston Place at 843.937.8725 or 888.635.2350; ask for the Concierge Desk. Hotel self park is $12/p night and includes in/out privileges. Valet parking at the hotel is $25 per vehicle, per day.

Public vans and taxis are also available at the airport for an estimated $25 one way fare, excluding gratuity.
