Registration Information

Who Should Attend: All GBA members, Associate Members and Bank Counsel Section members are invited to attend the Annual Convention. The registration fee includes all convention programs and events, scheduled meals, educational sessions, the Spouse/Guest Program, and the Sunday and Tuesday evening events.

Optional Tours and Activities: Optional tours and activities are available to convention participants and spouses/guests throughout the convention at an additional fee. Fees are reflected per person, and registrations will be accepted on a first come-first served basis. All tours and activities are exclusive to GBA convention participants and include private guide(s)/program specialist(s), all touring fees and equipment (where applicable) and appropriate round-trip transportation. Space for all tours and activities has been reserved and confirmed based on a minimum and maximum number of participants. If the minimum is not met, the tour/activity may be subject to a fee increase or cancellation. You will be advised prior to the time of the tour if this is the case. Should the maximum number be met prior to receipt of your confirmation, you will be contacted.

Conventions registration forms should be received no later than Friday, May 30, 2008. Due to guarantees and other commitments, convention registration refunds cannot be given after May 30, 2008; however, substitutions are always welcome. Tour and Activity registration forms must be received by GBA by Thursday, May 15, 2008. After this date, you may register for tours and activities onsite (based on space availability). Should you need to cancel a tour or activity, please notify Susie McGehee in writing, via fax at (404) 522-9848, or email. Refunds cannot be given on tours or activities after May 15, 2008.

Confirmation: All registrants will receive a confirmation packet four to six weeks prior to the convention. The packet will include registration confirmation, general convention information, golf, spouse/guest program information and optional tours and activities tickets/information if applicable.

Hotel Accommodations: GBA has negotiated a discounted group rate on sleeping rooms at the St. Regis, Monarch Beach. Rooms are available for $345 per night single/double, plus applicable taxes and service charges. The guest rooms welcome guests with a blend of comfort and technology. Amenities include: spacious balconies, marble bathrooms with double vanities, three telephones (one cordless), private safes designed for laptops, plush robes, 24-hour in-room dining, Web TV, wireless keyboards, data ports, high-speed internet access, and a CD/ DVD player. Spectacular ocean or golf course views can be enjoyed from nearly every room.

Early Departure from the Hotel
In the event that a guest checks out of the hotel prior to the reserved check-out date, an early departure fee of one night’s accommodations will be charged to that guest’s account. Guests wishing to avoid this fee must advise the hotel at or before check-in of any change in their scheduled length of stay.

Pre/Post Convention Extensions
The discounted group rate will be in effect for run-of house rooms from Thursday, June 12 through Friday, June 20, based on availability.

Hotel Cut-Off Date: All reservations must be received by the hotel on Tuesday, May 13. After this date, reservations will be accepted on a space and rate availability basis. Rooms may sell out before the cut-off date. All reservations must be guaranteed with a one-night room and tax deposit. Cancellations received seven (7) or fewer days prior to arrival will result in forfeiture of this deposit.

To Reserve Accommodations: Guests may call the hotel directly at (800) 722-1543 and ask for Reservations. Remember to reference the “Georgia Bankers Association Annual Convention” to receive the discounted rate.
