American Institute of
Banking
The American
Institute of Banking was founded in 1907, and today, over a century
later, AIB continues to provide quality, cost-effective education and
training to bankers. As the largest industry-sponsored adult education
program in the world, AIB benefits over 150,000 bankers who enroll in
its courses each year.
The American
Institute of Banking continues to change in order to meet the banking
industry’s needs. AIB courses are a part of a national continuing
education curriculum that includes classroom instruction, and multiple
Internet delivery options.
Programs are either instructor-led or self-paced, include measurements
of learning, and are designed to increase job skills and enhance
knowledge. Completion of prescribed programs can lead to
industry-recognized AIB diplomas and certificates, or assist in
professional licensing requirements.
The Georgia Bankers Association is the local provider of AIB programs in
the state of Georgia. Instructor-led classroom courses are offered in
various locations throughout the state. Faculty members are recruited
from our member banks throughout Georgia, which supports our philosophy
of “bankers teaching bankers.” Typically, banks pay the cost for their
employees to take AIB courses.
To learn more about the program, you may view and print the entire
ABA Course Catalog, which has a description of each course,
including Diploma and Certificate worksheets. Whether you are just
starting out in banking or taking the next career step forward, you can
achieve your professional development goals and make a difference in
your bank beginning today!
