Southern Trust School

Brookley Campus
University of South Alabama

Mobile, AL

This three-year school is designed to meet the professional needs of those who have recently entered the trust business from college, law school, commercial banking and other business activities, as well as personnel who are experienced in a specialized phase of trust work and wish to broaden their knowledge of the trust field.

The curriculum provides a broad introduction to the trust business with a progression to more technical aspects as the student continues to the second and third years. The faculty is a balance of trust professionals, attorneys and academicians who are all highly qualified in their respective areas of expertise.

The Institute of Certified Bankers has accepted the Southern Trust School as a Personal Trust School Program offering 93 hours combined in the four disciplines.

Admission Requirements: Applicants must be employed by a bank, trust company, or financial institution that is a member of a state bankers association or employed by a federal or state regulatory agency. Employees of non-members or other eligible entitites may attend at an additional fee. Class size is limited, and applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
