President/CEO Roundtables

2012 Roundtable Schedule

Strengthen Your Bank through Shared Ideas and Interaction with Peers

Running a bank has never been more challenging. As executive leadership, you shoulder responsibility for ever broadening and increasingly complex issues. Relevant and timely industry data, proven experiences and smart ideas can be a powerful advantage. No one knows your business and your job like another banker. In an age of information saturation, executives have limited time to filter down to what’s valuable and useful. While bankers can turn to any number of sources for problem solving, the enlightened executives turn to one another. You don't have to test every idea for yourself or rely solely on internal resources and your own experiences to come up with creative solutions to tough problems. That's the purpose of the President / CEO Roundtables.

Roundtable Structure

Each President / CEO Roundtable group will include up to 16 executive participants from a broad mix of bank sizes and diverse geography throughout the state without competitive overlaps. Groups of this size are large enough to offer diversity of opinion and experience, yet small enough to allow detailed brainstorming discussions among the participants. Each Roundtable group will meet three times during the year in a centrally convenient Georgia location. The members will select meeting dates and agenda topics. The facilitator is responsible for coordinating meeting details, providing resources and handout materials, guiding the group discussion, and delivering post-session follow-up items. GBA will assist the facilitator in organizing the groups but will not be represented at the meetings.

Prior to forming her practice, Elaine served the industry for ten years in CFO and operations capacities for a large multi-bank holding company in Macon, Georgia.

Chrys Henderson has 30 years of practical experience in the banking industry in Georgia. Her industry background at a mid-sized metro community bank encompassed all levels of audit, accounting, in-house data processing, operations, investment portfolio management, financial planning and asset / liability management. For the past 16 years, Chrys has teamed with the Demarest firm to provide consulting services to Georgia community banks of varying asset sizes. Her projects with the firm include personnel utilization studies, work flow analyses and systems design, budgeting, asset / liability reporting packages and administration, profit enhancement, CFO training and support functions, data processing vendor selection, analysis and implementation, product evaluation and development, and assisting banks in setting their strategic direction.
