This person will apply accepted accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports/statements, and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures. The accounting supervisor will be responsible for supervising the work of other less experienced accounting/bookkeeping personnel. This position requires someone who is able to take initiative and “think outside the box”. This individual will need to be comfortable working in a semi-structured environment without close daily supervision. Effective communication and writing skills will be critical as this position will be responsible for creating policies and procedures, working with other people across the organization, and making recommendations to management personnel as necessary.
