The
Senior
Housing Crime Prevention Foundation (SHCPF) is a Tennessee nonprofit
corporation established as a conduit for banks to use in securing
qualified Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) credits in all categories of
the mandatory regulatory performance tests and in doing so, allow banks
to serve a new segment of society—the Nation's senior housing residents
who have been classified as a low to moderate income group.
Among other things, participating banks receive proven retail marketing
and cross selling activities in the over age 50 market linked to the
program, which have proven to push the effective overall yield to over
10% per annum during the 5-year CRA commitment period, and CRA credit in
their direct assessment area(s). Sponsored facilities benefit as well
with the reduction of all incidents of crime such as fraud, abuse,
neglect and theft.
