Small Business
Lending Bill Passes House
The U.S. House of Representatives Thursday passed the small
business lending bill we told you about that passed the Senate
last week. The bill includes a $30 billion capital provision for
"healthy" community banks and the bill now goes to the President
for his signature.

DBF Proposes New Rules; Comment
By Oct. 25
The Georgia Department of Banking and Finance has issued a
notice of proposed rulemaking covering a wide range of
issues. Of significant interest are new rules relating to
renewing loans when capital levels have declined and
clarification on stacking.

Arrested This Week
James Marshall Sullivan, 24, Atlanta, and Montavious
Jendel Hardy, 22, Atlanta, were arrested in Tucker Sept. 20
in connection with the Sept. 9 armed robbery of the Suntrust
Bank, 4338 Paces Ferry Road, Atlanta.
