Women in Banking Conference

The GBA Women in Banking Conference is planned by the Women in Banking Committee. Each year, the committee crafts an agenda packed with information that will be valuable to all women in the banking industry. The conference also provides an excellent opportunity to network with colleagues from throughout the state.

Update on 2020 Conference

After careful consideration, the GBA Women in Banking Committee has made the decision to cancel the Women in Banking Conference scheduled for August 12-14 at Chateau Elan.

WHY? The Committee remains concerned about the ability to gather safely in a large conference environment and the possibility of virus spread upon return home. The committee is also concerned about a spike in cases which would inflame the situation, and possibly put the state in reverse in terms of guidelines and restrictions.

WHAT’S NEXT? The Committee will begin work on a virtual Women in Banking program intended to promote more ongoing connection, learning and growth for our female bankers and associate members. We will keep you posted in the coming weeks as that develops. If you have suggestions about what you think that should look like, email events@gabankers.com.

REFUNDS? GBA will cancel attendees’ conference registration fees and issue a full refund in the form of a check.

HOTEL CANCELLATION? Chateau Elan will automatically cancel attendees’ room reservations if booked within the GBA room block and refund deposits. A call to the hotel to cancel your room is not necessary.

We will look hopefully and positively toward 2021. We will all look forward to being together again soon.
